Applying effects to text

For this task we were asked to following instruction to creat two different pieces of text, the first one was to make the text we wrote look as if it was on fire. To achieve this, we had to use different techiniques such as liquify and stylizing wind onto a piece of our text via the filter tab on Photoshop.
Here is the finish product for the Fire piece of text:

I found this task easy because I've used all of the techniques touched upon and used before, I didn't find anything in particular difficult although i would would change and alter the streaks of my flames a little more so they don't look so static and look as if they flow off into the black.

All in all though, the text i have re-created looks like the original tutorial we were told to follow so i am happy with the result.

Our second task was to create a piece of text and edit it into as if the text was radioactive and also glowed green with radioactivity. Here is the result of that for me:

We had to take a different approach to this task, although we still used the wind technique but rotated the canvas to cover all parts of the text giving this stretched and scratched feel with lines around the text and a nice glow effect when coupled with the inner glow and colour overlay of the wind.

I like how this turned out because the effects given and made really give it a feel of what its meant to be, radioactive. If i was to change one part though, i would maybe pick another shade of green, something more luminescent and bright to really show off its inner glow and how it fades back into the black background.
